Accounting Software Freelance Journalist or Content Writer

Vantive Media is looking for a full-time, part-time or freelance Accounting Software journalist and business writer to be a part of our outstanding team. This position will author original financial system and accounting software content, including articles, editorials, white papers, how-to guides, software reviews and special interest stories. This position may be ideal for accounting software veterans coming from the application sales, analyst, consulting or project management ranks and now looking to share their knowledge with interested user communities.

As a Vantive Media team executive, your writing contributions will help our readers make business sense of the accounting software industry, and further aid IT and financial software buyers in making better accounting software procurement decisions. As an integral team colleague, you will directly contribute to our company's market niche leadership position while advancing your own career path. The ideal candidate will possess a blended mix of accounting knowledge and software experience with excellent business writing skills. This is not a technology position, however, expressing accounting software technology into tangible business terms and value is essential. Strong experience in either reviewing, selling or implementing market leading accounting software systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Lawson, Infor, MS Dynamics GP, NAV, AX or SL, NetSuite and/or Sage MAS 90/200 is necessary for this role. If you are an accounting software expert and good business content writer, we’ve got a great position for you.

Flexible work options, including working from home, are available with this position. For freelance or part-time candidates, compensation is commensurate with each journalistic piece. For full-time candidates, there is a compensation plan of $86,000 to $109,000 with a discretionary performance based bonus. Exact compensation is commensurate with industry experience, software expertise, writing skills and anticipated journalistic contribution.
